I very satisfied with the training till now. Everyone is getting better. The problem is the training at home.
And where did you do training?
We were very often in the sauerland (Meinerzhagen, Winterberg, Willingen), and three times in Hinterzarten and in Klingenthal.
Thomas de Wit is now in Park City for two weeks and I'm in Vallach together with Jermo Ribbers und Oldrik van der Aalst.
Do you have the chance also to do training in the Netherlands?
No, there are no skijumping-hills in the Netherlands at the moment. But there are plans to start building a skijumping-hill in the next 2 years in the south of the Netherlands. That would be great because it makes training much easier if you don't have to travel so much. But till now this is only a dream.
Are the a "special talent" that maybe can join the worldcup in the next years?
I think it will take a while until a skijumper from the Netherlands will join the worldcup. The boys are only 11 - 16 years old. But maybe Thomas de wit will start in the worldcup in two years. We will see.
The girls are better at the moment. Wendy Vuik and Lara Thomae will start in Ladies- COC this summer.
How are your plans for the next weeks? Will you also take part in international competitions?
Thomas de Wit will go to the FIS- Cup And the two girls will jump at the Ladies COC.
The younger boys till take part in some FIS- Youth- Cups.
And what are you plans for the next season?
All jumpers should get better and better. Thomas de Wit and Wendy Vuik (maybe also Lara Thomae) the highlight of the season is the JWM. The younger will jump at the "Deutsche Schülercup","Austria- Cup" and FIS Youth Cups.
